From the Second Transmission tape by Ancient Methods:

“Drop of Light” by Caleb R.K. Williams is one of the tracks that makes it difficult to slough off the cliché associations of the majestic and sheer endless American landscapes which are instantaneously provoked - but in contrast only by a quite minimalistic piece of psychedelic guitar improvisations. And speaking of head cinema - “Drops of Light” makes it just as hard to not think of "Dead Man" and the epic movie score by Neil Young.

The track was previously released on Caleb’s album “Unique Awake Roads”, released in 2022 by The Eagle Stone Collective. At a fast pace of almost monthly releases, the label brought an impressive catalog of excellent, trippy Americana soundtracks (the label is using “folk drone” and “ambient folk” as quite precise tags) into being. Much to our surprise, many of the label's releases are „name your price“ offers, sometimes flanked by ultra-limited, and quickly sold out DIY CD-R’s of 20 or 25 copies. “Drop of Light” is part of a “Selected Works” compilation, spanning 50 tracks by Caleb R.K. Williams. This highly recommended work exhibition got materialized in a (again ultra limited) triple CD-R with a lovingly crafted artwork, and it is a nice way to both support the artist and satisfy your collector’s needs.
